About the Photographer

Sage Fox

Raised in the Pacific Northwest, I have always felt drawn to remote and wild places. I grew up backpacking, trail running, fly-fishing, and skiing the mountains of Oregon and Idaho. During college, I took up ski mountaineering, whitewater snorkeling, scuba diving, thru-hiking, triathlon, mountain biking, and wildlife watching, in hopes of finding new ways to explore and experience the outdoors. Meanwhile, I became interested in photography as a way to share my experiences from remote backpack trips and cold mountain summits with others back home. I graduated from Oregon State University in 2020 with a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Science, intending to use my ecological knowledge for fisheries research and conservation photography. During the past four years, I have had the opportunity to travel to striking areas of Belize, Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, and many US states, while also working in remote areas of Idaho and Alaska as a fisheries technician during the summers. As I continue to travel and refine my photography, the photo galleries on this website catalogue some of my best moments and adventures along the way. I appreciate you taking the time to visit my website and learn about my work, and I hope you enjoy my images.

Thank You!
